Overtaken Chapter 2

The next day, Scarlett thought hard about what her dark figure told her last night. About everything, especially what she had said about an upcoming war. She had to talk to the Dark Lord, she needed to know what she was being used for, so at least she could be helpful. It's very hard to talk to the darkness; he can be very busy at times. The Darkness was very confident that he would win the war, you're probably wondering who exactly this war is against. Well, in this millennium, no one is considered pure enough to be good. We are all evil, all except for one person, the Light Princess. That is who the Darkness wanted to defeat because she is always looking down on people like him. It disgusted him to even think about that, she is a smug, bratty bitch who thinks she is only worthy of being worshipped. Well so far, he believed that he had proved her to be so wrong.

As far as I know, "she" has a couple of minions but even they aren't considered "good". But I'm telling you now, no one can trust her, even if she does seem like an normal good person who would never do anything wrong. Well, she can rot in hell when I'm done with her.

  Scarlett talked to the captain of the guard getting permission to speak with the darkness, he knew that she was a favourite of the Dark Lord so he let her in. But, no matter how close he felt to Scarlett, he had never shared any of his secrets with her. When she entered the Darkness' chambers; he grinned. She looked like she was almost about to cry.

"What is this about a war?" she asked.

"Ah! So you were told about that, I knew that prick of a dark spirit would reveal too much, why did I choose that twat to overtake you?" He said, as he walk close to her and stroked her hair, "You could do so much better."

"Okay but just please explain." She replied,

The Dark Lord sighed, "On every planet, there is a border where the light and darkness meet, well technically they clash. This therefore, causes both to collide and it creates Twilight."

"Twilight?"

"Yes, Twilight, it is said that natives of the twilight thrive there, and the locals that were there turn into spirits and can only be seen by those worthy of going into twilight. Like me, you, Amagai and the Light Princess. Although, those spirits will not be able to see you though when you enter it. In medieval times, a hero chosen by the goddesses was able to restore the light but turned into a beast when he entered the twilight, I hate him for doing that. A similar war has happened before, against a person called Zant and Zelda, you are like the hero, except you are working for me. That's all I am going to say before I reveal too much or go off topic"

"Well, thanks for explaining...your highness."

He wrapped my arms around her; she was so adorable when she was curious. Then, he looked into her eyes and his hood fell off my head, she looked a bit shocked when she saw his face.

"No...thank you..." he said, as he went to kiss her...but she somehow pushed my head away and formed it into a hug. Then she calmly walked out of the room. It was obvious she knew I didn't explain everything. When she arrived back to her dorm, Rose came up to her and grinned.

"It looks like you and me are going on a mission together." Rose said,

"Huh?" I replied,

"We just got assigned to go on a mission together, first time for me, so don't go messing it up." She hissed.

This was exactly what she didn't want to do but she had no choice. Rose went off to get ready, Scarlett was already ready, she had her dagger. But then she hesitated and looked for Amagai, her dagger was obviously insufficient.

"Big brother?! Where are you, I need your sword!" Scarlett shouted.

She spotted him outside in the academy garden, it was more like a graveyard and had that creepy feel to it. She had no time to run down to him. So, she opened the window and jumped out, Amagai got an unexpected shock.

"Scarlett, what are you doing here." He asked,

"What do you think, looking for you, maybe?" She replied, "Anyway, I need to borrow your sword."

"Why?"

"Because I'm going on a mission and my dagger isn't that good for something like that. So can I borrow your sword please?"

"Sure but just be very careful with it, it was dad's sword before so don't go trashing it, okay!"
"Yeah, thank you!" she chirped, she kissed him on the cheek then scurried off.

She returned to Rose, she didn't get ready at all! No weapons, nothing. Although, there was a fresh layer of blusher on her cheeks and a hint of glitter on her lips. She obviously wanted to wind Scarlett up, by showing how more sexy she was. Her kitsune features made her look cute and she always said that she had more opportunities to kiss a lot of men but it was unfortunate that she had to kiss ugly men at times, it made her cringe.

As they walked up to the academy gates, a voice called out to them. A familiar girl ran up to them, though they weren't sure who it was.

"Wait up" she weased, "Don't walk so fast, it's hard enough to walk on legs as it is, you know."

"Umm…who are you?" Rose asked,

"Guys, it's me, Isharibi. I know, I have legs but I have to be careful not to touch water otherwise I will turn back into the horrid creature that I am. I have a limited amount of pills and let me tell you, they aren't cheap." She replied

"Umm…why are you here anyway?" Rose said,

"I have been assigned to this mission at the last minute. Looks like it's just us girls, come on lets go."
Isharibi obviously didn't notice the conflict going on between Rose and Scarlett. But that was the kind of person Isharibi was, an oblivious innocent person, she was quite vain but not as vain as Rose.

They set off for a small village called Oldin, it was a petty village but it seemed that they were getting on well and the Light Princess was aiding them and she had sent a guardian to protect the village and it was the girls' job to put an end to that. There was a big shock when they go to the main gate of the village.

"What! There's a huge black wall there, how are we supposed to get to the village now!?

" Rose said, as she touched the black wall, "If this wasn't there, I'd be able to finish this mission in a couple of hours flat."

This must be what his darkness was talking about, the border where the light and darkness clash, the twilight Scarlett thought, It's probably spread to Oldin, so the only person who can get inside the twilight is me. Scarlett walked up to the wall, a voice inside her head insisted that she go inside. She put her hand against the wall but it went through, a small gasp came out of her mouth.

"You may not be able to get into the village..." Scarlett said, "...but I am!"

"Oh no you don't!" said Rose, "You're not getting all the credit for this mission, besides....there's nothing I can't get through, just you watch..."

But as Rose attempted that, she banged her head, she got a concussion caused by the speed she was walking at when she walked into a wall. Scarlett turned to Isharibi.

"I won't be long." She said,

"Wait! You can't go in there, you don't know what horrible things could be lurking in that place. We should wait until the wall fades away so that we can continue our mission."

"Don't you get it, the wall will never fade unless I do something about it, I'm just going to check it out and see if I can find the protector.  His darkness is counting on me so don't try and stop me."

Scarlett pushed Isharibi out of the way and entered the world of Twilight...
